Getting started with LSS 3.02 (Part 1)

 ON-LINE:  Computer can communicate with a PLC, down and up load information.

            Cannot save information to a disk.  Can only edit a current

            program.

 
  OFF-LINE: Computer can NOT communicate with a PLC.  Computer can save and

            retrieve information to an from a disk.  Can also create and work

            with a ladder or mnemonics programs.

                          COMPUTER TO PLC COMMUNICATIONS

                                    (ON-Line)

 

                           1. Must be in READ Mode.

                           2. Press CTRL + O

                           3. Press F1

                           4. If dipswitch and cables are correct,

                              contact can then be made.

 

                     TERMINATE COMPUTER TO PLC COMMUNICATIONS

                                    (OFF-Line)

 

                               1. Press CTRL + O

                               2. Press F1

      

                     TRANSFER A PROGRAM FROM COMPUTER TO PLC

                                (Must be ON-Line)

 

                              1. Press the END Key

                              2. Press the "P" Key

                              3. Press the "W" Key

                              4. Press the "E" Key

                              5. After the process is done,

                                 press the ESC Key

 

                     TRANSFER A PROGRAM TO COMPUTER FROM PLC

                                (Must be ON-Line)

 

                              1. Press the END Key

                              2. Press the "P" Key

                              3. Press the "R" Key

                              4. Press the "E" Key

                              5. After the process is done,

                                 press the ESC Key

 

                              INSERT A CONTACT/COIL

 

                          1. Press F2 (Write Mode)

                          2. HIGHLIGHT where you want the

                             contact/coil to go by using

                             the arrow keys.

                          3. Press the INS Key for contact.

                          4. Configure a contact as you normally would.

                          5. Press SHFT + PGUP

                          6. Put in the extra coil as normal.

                          7. Save

 

                              DELETE A CONTACT/COIL

 

                            1. Press F2 (Write Mode)

                            2. Press SHFT + F1.

                            3. Use arrow keys to go to the contact/

                               coil to be deleted.

                            4. Press RETURN

                            5. Press F2.

                            6. Press DEL to move connects to the left rail

                            7. Save

 

                                    ON-LINE EDIT

                            (Must be in MONITOR Mode)

 

                               1. Press END Key

                               2. Press "O"

                               3. Use arrow keys to select rung

                               4. Press RETURN

                               5. Edit that rung.

                               6. Press store to save in computer

                                  and PLC.

                               7. Press RETURN

                               8. Press F1

 

                                   INSERT A LINE

                             

                        1. ON-Line or OFF-Line, must be in Write

                           or ON-Line EDIT Mode.

                        2. Press SHIFT + PGUP.

                        3. Enter 1 rung of logic as normal

                        4. Save program.

 
                                  DELETE A LINE

 

                        1. ON-Line or OFF-Line must be in Write

                           or ON-Line EDIT Mode.

                        2. Press SHIFT + F1

Can anybody write down details of link cable (plc-pc)?
